Frontiers enables clinicians to
easily create complete clinical documentation for all aspects of the perioperative environment without compromising
patient care. The task-load of the clinician is reduced because data is recorded automatically from all the devices
that are attached to the patient.
Frontiers helps ensure that each record is complete and all JCAHO and compliance requirements are met. Can't
remember which fields for a certain procedure must be filled in or which events require a signature? You don't have to.
Frontiers provides a "no-hassle" feedback mechanism for filling in all the required information and will even check
to make sure certain events are charted at the appropriate times.
Compliance and QA/QI programs can be instituted using the included reporting tool. Most of the queries you want are
already included and can be generated with no more training than filling in a few fields and pressing a button on your
PC - you do not have to wade through an endless series of menus. Better still, once you have selected a report you want
to see on a regular basis, the reporting tool can automatically produce and email the results to you.
Frontiers is much more than a convenient way to create a more complete record. It not only contains all the various CPT,
ICD-9 and ASA codes, but standard drug dosages and all the other reference material that is bound, taped to the anesthesia
machine or other reference material you carry around. Frontiers can display the schedule for the day, provide your group
with important reminders posted by your front-office (easier than tracking you down or paging you), include pager/phone
information for each physician, import intra-operative lab values as they become available and a number of clinically useful features.
Professional billing is addressed by Frontiers as well. Billing data derived from the record can be sent to your billing
software through our interface engine or the data sent via e-mail (including demographics!). Either way, Frontiers will help
your practice run more efficiently by eliminating the delay and loss of revenue associated with paper processes.
