Who is it for?
Frontiers facilitates access and analysis of data for quality assurance, physical plant throughput,
cost containment, clinical credentialing (quarterly verification of required procedure minimums per practitioner),
and can fulfill the necessary accreditation requirements and audits as set forth by JCAHO
and CMS (previously HCFA).
While most would readily agree with the goals stated above; the true test to solving these depends almost entirely with
the software solutions that are provided. For the administrator, Frontiers stands-apart as providing elegant, intuitive software
that can be used from anywhere within the hospital to allow the administrator to obtain quantitative data to determine how the
perioperative environment is "running."

Utilization |

This is a reporting tool that graphically depicts how each OR and PACU bay was used on any given day. The "white space"
between each case represents downtime, and potentially lost revenue for your hospital. If the Frontiers Intra-Operative Nursing Record is
utilized, the white space between cases is broken down into further detail (clean-up, set-up) giving you unprecedented detail to optimally manage staffing. |

Intra-Op Status Monitor |

This software can be run at your desktop as well as on a large plasma screen for the OR staff. It gives you real-time
views of the information that is provided in the Utilization module. The advantage of providing a Big Board to everyone is that it helps decrease turn-time. |

Pre-Op Status Monitor |
|
The needs for the Pre-operative area are different than the Big Board for the OR and PACU. The display shows which steps
in the pre-operative process have been completed and which still need to be done. |

There are many reports that allow both administrator and clinician to manage the specific compliance requirements as
stated by JCAHO, Medicare and CMS. |
